Thanks to all for the prayers for "D". HP works in ways that only he knows what is best for us. Our friend got worse last night but did not call us until this morning. I could tell immediately while talking with him he was not in his right mind. So, AH and I decided we needed to intervene and see about getting him some help. I finally got an address out of him and phoned the local sheriff's office to have police cruisers sent over to his apartment. It worked out that AH went onto work and I went alone, I felt more comfortable having someone there to witness what I witnessed on the phone. It was so sad to see him, his apartment was in shambles, he looked aweful and shaking terribly. He says he had not taken any drugs. It was evident that he was not in the right frame of mind to do anything. We got him into the cruiser and I followed them down to the Crisis unit where he was Baker Acted. He could not tell them much of anything, not even where his car was. I just let the nurse know what I knew of in the last few days and that this is not normal behavior for him. He looked so distraught.
Went home and AH was there worried out of his mind. Apparently he'd spoken to his friend before I got there with the police and his friend "D" said he was going to find God. AH flipped out and let his bosses know he needed to get home to help out his friend. Well, one lady at his work didn't much care that someone's life was in the balance and basically fired my AH. Also in the midst of calling our friend's mom and job, etc. to let someone know what happened we find out Ah's car is dead. So even if he could get his job back; which I'm sure he could due to the circumstances, he couldn't even drive himself there. AH broke down too, this is not what we need right now, but for whatever reason this is the day and the circumstances. We got on our knees and just gave it to HP. AH went to our friend's house to find his keys and lock up his apartment. It's so sad to see someone go from being sane to insane. Literally this man was having a psychotic break before my eyes. Keep "D" in your prayers for him to get the right help he needs. Hopefully his mom will fly down from NY to be near him during this time. AH gave me his money before I left so he would not be tempted to go out and drink. I keep him in prayer today too that he'll stay sober and get to a meeting or call his sponser if necessary. Thanks friends for the prayers and support.

Got all of you in my prayers. Especially your hubby. Every day we deal with the insanity of Aism and being powerless but this may be his first real taste of how it is on this end. We know how unnerving it is. It's hard to see someone you love in that condition. I imagine this is hardest for your Ah.
I must have misread the other post. I'll go back and reread. I thought your friend was asking for help to recover. No matter, I hope he gets the help he needs. You have my prayers. ^i^
I am so so so sorry for your friend. I am also sorry that your husband really got so upset and lost his job. I feel like I have been dealing with someone who has lost his mind for months with the A. He has not been thinking in anything sane for months.
I am glad that your friend got help. I wonder what triggered this episode. I know when I have helped people when they were in dire straits it has sometimes been heartening.
I will pray for both your your husband and his friend.
