Saturday Night Palsy

I got ready for work this morning as usual, but right when it was time to leave, the AH said he had to go to the ER because something was wrong with his arm. I saw it sort of flop around when he tried to do things and hang limp. I was worried. I called into work (first time ever) and went to the ER where the doctor breifly looked him over and diagnosed him with Saturday Night Palsy; a fairly common condition in which the person (who frequently has been drinking) falls asleep with their arm hanging off the side of a chair. Because the chair pushes into the braccial plexus, nerve damage results. The doctor said it could take about two weeks to go back to normal, but no medication or treatments are required.
Crazy, huh?

Health has been a huge issue with the A I deal with (I no longer live with him). He's off to the doctor again today. He has really considerable fatigue after living in a truck for 2 months he didn't sleep.

He also didn't really eat properly either. I think there was a week he didn't eat at all. I am really sad when it comes to their health. I have my own really severe neglect issues for my own health (there are a million things I am not doing which I should do). I can get totally caught up in the A's health issues and miss my own. I hope you are taking care of you too.

Maresie.
