 Just when you thought all those grammer corrections your mother/teacher/insert insane corrective OCD person here harped on you about were meaningless.......

Maybe I'm only half neurotic. I don't correct people out loud, I just think it.

My biggest pet peeve? Starting every sentence with "Basically".

I hate to admit it but I always correct hubby with the word...irregardless. I never thought it was proper but have since let it go because I really didn't know for sure.

Basically, (sorry Christy, couldn't resist) I am going to print this out and just show it to him.

Thanks for the laugh. As I'm reading this I'm picturing my ex-step mother who was the "grammer queen" and irregardless was one of her favorite words to correct people on.  So when my father married wife #4 who continously said that word it made me cringe.  Guess some of her OCD behavior rubbed off on me.  He He.
