Today is a very good day for me. It has to be one of the best. I feel so good about myself even if it just today. I have makeup on and have a good attuided. I have come a long way since I have stared. I not fighting with my husband like when i first started. I used to get very voliet and break glass and anything I had gotten my hands on. I haven't lost my tempter like that in a long time. That what brought me to alanon was my bad tempter. I so proud of myself. I was talking to someone that I relazie how far i have come and what i would and would not put up with. It seems hard to remeber those days with him drinking and drugs, but the drugs and drinking wasn't that long ago. 5 months with the drugs and a little from the drinking. If you think that program is just for to deal with your alcholic u are mistaking, it for you to deal with life itself. I still come to learn even though sometimes i don't think I have changed and then i look at my old post and see what i used to deal with, and how life isn't like that. It doesn't mean i don't have problems now. So hang in there it will get better. It has for me.

Yeah nycbt! Great post. I came to the program angry. Very up front anger. Scared my husband (post traumatic stress disorder for them), scared my kids, and made me feel really bad about myself. Alanon tools helped me and meetings helped me. What a relief that there was hope for me. I am still struggling to compliment myself.
