I messed up - now what?

I let my A make me so mad that I threatened to move out, and now he is telling me to just get my stuff and leave now. Almost everything in the house is mine and would take a lot of people and a lot of work to move it all out.  He says I have to get it all at once, because he won't let me back in the house.  All was said while he was drunk. He says I was just "talking" anyway, and that I won't leave.  I will leave, at the right opportunity, like the next time he is in jail for DWI so that I can have time to get my things.  What can I tell him, so that he is not accusing me of just "talking crap"?  Thank you all.

I was in the same situation many times through the past 10 years. Most times, he either didn't remember, or I did leave, sometimes with my stuff, sometimes without, sigh. Most of that was before I found Alanon. Learn everything you can about Aism, read, read, read. Come here, etc. This board is a sanity saver, believe me! with love in the program, TLC
PS: I found that when my A was drunk, he usually tried to pick a fight just because he felt like fighting. After awhile, I just wouldn't say a word when he tried to pick a fight. Hee hee, it was pretty hard to fight alone, so he'd just go to sleep!

I don't think you messed up....remind him of all the times HE said something he would do and then did not do it.
