Learning to meet my own needs without resentment

(((MIP Friends)))

Hope you all had a pleasant weekend.  I was able to get some good work done in the condo and have some mommy time to myself.  Today, got my back molar pulled, had to go to oral surgeon to get put under, apparently it was very nasty.  Lately I'm just realizing that I'm meeting my needs by fulfilling those needs myself or asking family that is reliable to help out.  My AH is not able to be here for me for obvious reasons, I used to feel resentment about this, but today I'm just trying to be grateful for the people I do have in my life that I can count on when the going gets tough.  AH is still working his program too.  He found a sponser that he seems to respect.  He is actually working the steps; which has never happened before.  I wish him the best on his journey.

My recovery journey feels like its taking off in the best way I could ever hope for.  It is scary... but I'm not losing sleep over things.  Much different than the last two years of my life.  There is so much I'm understanding in how I've held onto resentments and anger in my life and how those resentments have played out in my relationships.

Just wanted to share my small success in independence without anger and resentment.  Hope everyone has a good day/evening.

Peace,
Twinmom~

How wonderful to see this! Even the title says it all. What I need to do is condensed to a single phrase.
I want to caution you not to minimize your accomplishment. Gratitude for knowing non-husband people who can fill your needs is no small feat. You inspire me. Jill

It is so amazing how well you are doing. I know there are days that are rougher than others and some of the things you are doing for you are painful, but your attitude and your choice to see it for what it is... growth and progress, is a real inspiration!

I am so glad you are here!

Take care of you!

"I wish him the best on his journey"

What a beautiful statement of love, acceptance and growth.

Thanks for sharing that with us. It is very inspiring the work you have done on learning to take care of you.

Peace,
Rita
