Ryan Lipscomb, a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, on being hit by a delivery truck after he fell from his bike. Lipscomb, who wore a helmet, suffered only a concussion.

WOW I just went thru this yesterday with me ten year old. I feel like I am scared all the time for her.

This is exactly what killed my first husband.

I am so so glad this child had the helmet on. We have a lot of good parents on this board.
