Lately I have been feeling confused about what I need to do to make a better life for my kids and I, confused by the choices that need to be made and all of them are difficult. If I don't go back to school we don't make it, if I do go back to school I have to continue working while I take prerequisites and my oldest daughter will practically raise the other two for a year. Neither choice is fair! I applied for another job today in a county nearby with much better pay - pray for me!!! I feel almost immobilized by the decisions I need to make and afraid that each one will be wrong. My daughter and I are having problems with her school again and their antiquated discipline methods! I have realized now that if I could make more money and put her in a different school I think we could be much happier! This requires either moving, taking out loans and going back to school and switching her school next year when the offer is made (they never meet no child left behind standards and have to offer alternative schools). I feel like there is too much to think about and it's killing me! I want something to come together to make sense and be the obvious path!
When confronted with many decisions to make and all of them have courses of action and consequences sometimes its best to take the least challenging first. Remember the saying How do you eat an Elephant? One bit at a time!!! So one day at time, one minute at a time if need be. The answers and solutions will present themselves not on your timing but on HP's timing. I continue to say that to myself as I see the bills piling up and the late fees accumulating. Keep it up.

What I would want to give you is the ability to truly take one day at a time.
To me that means do all I can and let the rest go. Can't control it anyway.
You can only do what you can do. You are interviewing for jobs, you are wieghing your decisions. i before except after c? weigh looks right.. hmm anyway
When I am confronted. I write down all my options in a circle, then put lines off the circle of my concerns on one side, the positive on the other.
You won't know until you do know, it is ok. You are in a major transition right now. It is exciting and scarey.
I went to college full time, worked full time and raised two babies. I was a widow, talk about being thrown out there. I never really worked before. had ssd but it was not enough.
We had a great time. I was done by the time they were. It all worked. day at a time
It just depends on what you really want to do. You can take some classes at home. You can take some night classes and have a babysitter.
Your kids wlll grow up before you know it. I cannot believe I am 54 and have kids 30 and 31. they are still my babies!!!
We have such a short time in our lives we get to live with them. It sounds like you really want a job that pays enough for you guys to make it. Maybe that is your goal?
We always put what we wanted/needed on a piece of paper or a picture on the fridge. I am not kidding, it worked. I believe it is becuz it reminded us and we worked towards making it come true.
The slogans may help you, keep it simple. to me it is not complicating my life with things that do not matter. Knowing what does matter. We can get so mixed up in the perfect nails, perfect hair the latest cloths. Who cares??? Sometimes society really works at pulling us in.
You have lost so many major things lady. Besides your looking for security, you are suffering grief.
Is it possible to take classes over the internet? This might work esp. for the prerequisits? You might want to check on it. Remember baby steps & keep yourself peaceful & happy for your kids. Wishing the best for you & your family. Hope
