The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
After I read those and reposted the Eden happenings I felt lighter. Now feel even more so. Slowly the darkness is going away.
I do see now that there are things I never may heal from. That what aism can do is damage us. All the more reason to use our alanon skills. Of course I want to say, I wish I had known.
I swear alanon and AA should be taught in schools.Why not? they teach about cancer and everything else?
Reminding me, one day at a time and everything will be ok. It seems when this stuff happens, the obstacles in my life have more of a problem ring and I won't allow that. Things are obstacles, and I always find a way becuz of hp to get thru.
Have all my life.
Sometimes i get concerned as I know people can get stuck in a way of life being cold, crabby, bitter, no hope. I believe alanon helps us to know we can go on and be ok. If we did not have that hope, the pain would tear our individualism away. It would kill our self, the special, unique person each and one of us are.
hmmm now back to shoveling pooty and building my fence...
Ya know I kept thinking you aught to be working on your book, I tell you the guy at Barnes & Noble runs from me cause I keep asking him where your Eden book is. I think he thinks I'm crazy
You could do a bunch of short stories on Eden, like James Herriot. What would the title be? Beyond Pooty Shoveling... no, how about Adventures in Eden or A Walk thru Eden.
I'll never forget the post you wrote about your horse getting loose and into the neighbors yard, you running after him trying to keep your britches from falling ...I laughed my arse off. You should seriously consider taking a few of your posts and forwarding them to a publisher for consideration. I think you'd be surpised.
hmmm A School.............That's a really great idea. But I wonder how many would attend if it wasn't mandatory. Here when people get in trouble for alcoholism they do have a school but it's really a nuisance and its to make money for the county and usually the people are there with a resentful attitude. I think it's a good idea though. I wish it was a course in high school personally so I would not have been side swiped some 20 years later, know what I mean? I have to agree to Debilyn, your posts are nice to read.
