Wow I can't beleive I have been in Al-anon for 3 years already this month....

It has been a journey let me tell ya it hasn't been rosey either but each year I see growth and each year I look back and say wow I made it through that tight spot.....

When I came here in May 2004 my life was a living HELL and I didn't know whether I was going to live or die untill one day sitting with my mother-law home talking to her and she gave me Hope For Today book and asked me to read it..... OH my life then begin making small babysteps towards peace I never thought I would ever see....

My life today is much happier, peaceful, and loving...  In less then 7 days I will be going on a Goldwing motorcyle with my hubby to calif to finally meet my sponsor that has changed my life in so many ways....biggrin

 Most of you all know that my life was like living in worldwar 2 Both parents and 3siblings All are alcoholic and on drugs.. My mom died 7 years this june 11 from this dieases but it  was her only way out she didn't know any other way... I know it sad...cry

When I came to al-anon I had no clue to what alcoholic dieases was.... I thought my life at home was just normal  but as I came in the program HP opened my eyes to see differently....idea As I came here to this room I was hurting so bad inside I didn't like to be angry, hurt,sad, lonely, fear, or hateful....  But intstead I like to be happy ,bubbly,and silly full of life.....

In April my children got to be a part of a very special occation that was Hubby and I renewed our wedding vows.. We have been married 18 years...... I wanted to show my kids what a family is really supposed to be like...smile

This program in the last 3 years has shown me How to be a MOM and WIFE....

Thanks so much for making theses last 3 years so wonderful for me and for the wonderful family you all are to me!!!!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Girlfriend!  So glad you came and kept coming.  You are proof that if Alanon works if you work it and you are soooooooo worth it!

I am so glad that I also got to meet and spend time with you in Texas.  It was so much fun and I have so many wonderful, fun memories of our time together.
