Gratitude List

Today, I am feeling like I could easily "go there"
so, I am posting my gratitude list.

Today I am grateful that I live in a beautiful small town.
I am grateful that spring is here and the trees are starting to leaf out
I am grateful that I have my health
I am grateful that I have found this board and it's members
I am  grateful that I have a beautiful daughter who is growing and learning daily
I am grateful for my husband and the journey we are taking together
I am grateful for my home
I am grateful for this body which carries me through my day
I am grateful for free will
I am grateful for ALL of the lessons I learn in life...even the challenging ones
I am grateful to be alive!

Anyone else?  Let's have a gratitude fest!!

Love on the road to recovery -

Tara

(((Tara)))

You hit the nail on the head, at least, for my own program.  When I feel down, anxious, irritable and/or discontent, it is always the attitude of gratitude that pulls me out of it.  I make these lists everyday, sometimes in my head, sometimes written, sometimes at meetings...

Today, I am grateful for

-keeping my conscious contact with Higher Power
-this posting to have me remember my gratitude for a good life
-being alone, and being okay with being alone
-my wonderfully green lawn, sans dandelions, sans moles
-not being sick or ill
-a new pair of running shoes to keep me from getting sick or ill
-fresh asparagus i had for dinner, minus the stinky pee
-the opportunity to do service for my friends and family group
-the opportunity and financial ability to do something good for a friend, today, without them knowing
-the ability to treat myself to a calm day
-the ability to detach and not obsess about why i don't like myself as much as i should
-the capability to keep doing stepwork, in light of having already changing my living situation to provide myself a serene environment - step 10, step 10, step 10
-the ability to not emotionally or physically isolate, as that has been a problem area.  i will meet with family group and friends later today, and i will tell them i love them and appreciate them

i love you, too, MiP family.  if nothing changes, nothing changes. God, grant US the courage to CHANGE the things we can.

I am grateful that the more I surrender, the freer I become.

I am grateful for all things pink in my surroundings.

I am grateful that life is becoming precious to me again.

I am grateful to be able to see the dawning of a new day, and smile at its perfection
.
I am grateful for my children.
For my life-long friends.
For my health.
For my home.
For my abilities.
For my career.
For being able to share with all you people.
For animals.
For summer.

That is just the start of what could a near endless list of things I am grateful for.

I am grateful that life doesn't depend on me and that I can use everything and person my HP puts in my life to make this journey.
I am grateful that I am not afraid today especially not afraid to be humble (teachable).
I am grateful that God answers prayers eventually and that Al-Anon at 37 was the answer to a 10 year old's prayer.
I am grateful that only I can erase the smile from my face and that I rarely have a good reason do do so.
I am grateful for rain when I want sunshire and sunshire when I want rain and especially I am grateful and blessed when I experience them both at the same time. I guess I am saying I am grateful for rainbows.
I am grateful for the time I get to say I am sorry and the time I take to keep myself quiet when I want to say "you're wrong."
I am grateful for the ability and opportunity to change my perspective and attitudes especially after I have a reaction.
I am grateful for what hearing and eyesight I still have that is supported by hearing aids and glasses. I can still hear messages I need to hear and see the angels who deliver them.
I am grateful to be love so unconditionally most of all; by my HP and by this family group.
I have received what I desired most as a child and have so little more to ask for.

Mahalo Nui (Thanks much)
