As I was praying for my son last night, I was thinking of all of you, and wishing I could contact you, so you could add your prayers to mine. I knew you certainly would if you knew I needed them! HP has answered so many of my prayers already! My son was in an accident at work and had a meat-eating chemical splashed full in his face! In his eyes, up his nose, on his mouth...Thanks to his fast thinking, and I believe, Divine Intervention,he went to a hose,( like a fire hose without the pressure), and washed his face off really well, then to the eyewash station, but was only able to flush one eye out at a time, and had damage to his other eye. The hosp. ran IV fluid into that eye for about 5 hours.( The chemical had even gotten behind his eye, but the flushing cleaned it out.) The very outside layer of his eye was eaten away 85%, and his good eye had pinhole type holes. Thank HP!!, this part of his eye will grow back in 2 days!! His cornea was damaged by the flushing, but we will know on Tues. if there will be any longlasting damage, I guess. We ended up having to take him to another hosp. in the nearest city. They examined him, gave him meds and sent him home. I'm sure you can all imagine our terror while we were rushing from one hosp. to another (and praying!). On the way to see him at the first one, all I knew was that he had been splashed full in the face with this chemical, and that his eye was bad. It was like one of those horror shows come true in my brain! We are so thankful that what might have happened, didn't happen, but I'd like your prayers that he doesn't have any complications. He is a wonderful young man (and more than his Mom say that) ;) He has 3 young children, and his fiancee has 2, all who love and need him very much. Thanks in advance for your prayers, Love TLC

I'm so sorry you are going through this; but isn't it wonderful that God shows us the power of prayer and all the wonderful people who have no problem pitching in to add theirs.
Please help his injuried skin to heal rapidly, his pain to be minimal, his drs knowledgable in treating him and his nurses compassionate. Also that the daily stresses be eased on his family as they deal with this time of trauma.

Thank-you my dear friends! It means so much to me to know I have you there for us. I cried when I saw your caring replies. I am going to his place tonight to administer the drops and 'gunk', His fiancee has to work, and he can't do them himself. I think she gets off at 5am, so I will give them to him every 2 hours until 3,( she'll take over at 5). Then I'll come home, get some sleep and take him back to the city tomorrow morning. I will let you know how he makes out. I was kicked in the head by a horse years ago and lost the vision in my right eye. I remember well all the drops, pain etc., but after 11 years and 3 operations, I can see out of that eye again! Miracles DO happen!! Thanks again my Alanon family, With Love, TLC and family
