beautiful day

It is a beautiful spring day. My 3 yr old and I spent the afternoon in the yard...I said "Let's look for signs of spring".....before I knew it she was sayong" Mommy, let's look for things that are alive!" A wonderful thing to do. Look for things that are alive....in my yard, in my heart, in my spirit. I then found my self pruning the trees....looking at dead wood...no longer needed...and I thought about what we can get rid of once we have the energy from looking at what is alive. I thought about the cancer diagnosis I just got....how ready I am to get rid of what I don't need. I also thought about being in my yard in the fall...a few months ago...before I found Alanon and you all....before my boyfriend found sobriety,AA and his HP. I remember being in this yard...him drunk mid-day, me embarassed, me exhausted....unable to complete a project....leaves still unraked. It was an aweful place to be. Now I feel such hope and I know I am going to be happy in my yard this spring....no matter what. Here's to a wonderful spring and time of rebirth and new growth for us all.
With love, Fifi

Fifi,

That's a wonderful outlook.  You're going to be just fine.  Hold those thoughts  :)
