"Anyway, when I started to think clearly, when I put my needs first, when I realized I was grieving for something that didn’t exist, I    was able to let go.  A friend put it very succinctly to me when he said: “you mean you are afraid to let go of something that you don’t like because if the person was different there might be a chance that you might like it better”.  That is when I realized how silly my thinking was." This was my way of thinking. pure madness! that is why i left my ex "A"

i was wishing for a miracle that i knew deep in my heart would never happen. for that person to change who HE was.

i am much happier and healthier without an addict in my life. im now LIVING as opposed to merely SURVIVING!

thanks family.

Thank you, Rebecca.

I am glad you are doing so much better.

I am finding that with just a little courage to trust in myself and think for myself, my life improves greatly.  I'm happy it is working for you too.
