wishes and dreams

Hi everyone,

You have to have a dream in order to make the dream come true.

I was in the car with my nine year old neice and three year old nephew. She asked me what I would wish for if I was granted one wish. This got me thinking....

She said she would wish people would stop eating animals!!! (staunch veggy)

My nephew wished that everything was yellow, because yellow is the color of the sunshine. (recently discovered painting!) .....he's so gorgeous....

What would you wish for if you could have one wish come true? I'd love to know.....

What a sweet post!!! I love the sunshine yellow part!!!  How adorable.

I guess I am with Bubbles, I want to be filled with so much love that I spill it over into other people, just acceptance and love.  Help others as much as I can.  That is my true wish, but yes, working on oneself is such a chore that sometimes we get self-centered and worry too much about our situations, fears, etc.  This program really gives you the tools to find the love and happiness within and spread the JOY!!!!  We will keep on trying to do that!!!

Thanks, AnnMarie, hope you are well...

Love,

HeidiXXXXX

My kids always say I'd wish for a million more wishes or I'd wish for fairy god parents.  Personally I think your wish depends on where you're at in the moment.  Right now I need money so I'd wish for the winning powerball ticket, don't know if that would bring happiness but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt.

I would wish for serenity and the ability to let go of the problems that aren't mine.  I have enough of my own without taking on those of everyone around me.  I would like to be a little bit more financially secure.

O.k.--this is my 2nd try at this--my first response was way to wordy and philosophical and confusing for myself!!!!

I would wish to make a difference in the lives that I touch--not move their mountains, not make pain disappear, but for people to see a "light" in me that just makes them feel better and encouraged.

Since dreams & wishes aren't limited - can I wish for the impossible?

I wish that no one would ever be affected by the disease of alcholism/addiction ever again.  There would be no A's, no spouses of A's, no children of A's, no parents of A's, etc. - none.

Although, I know that without my AH in my life, I would never have met any of you or my other recovery family.  I still think a world without this awful disease might be a pretty nice place.

Just what I wish today - who knows, could be different tomorrow (lol)

Rita

My wish would be that we all realize we are ONE, we have individual spirits, yet we are ONE. Just like the parts of H20 that make an ocean. Individual, yet ONE..

If we could do that there would be no seperatism, no killing for borders, no need to fill lives with drugs and booze, no starvation.

By being ONE, we would understand we should never turn our heads and look the other way at suffering or atrocities. When we do that we are turning our heads on the whole and self.

Yes, Rita.  I think that is a beautiful post. Wouldn't the world be a beautiful place without addictions, abuse, and adultry.  The 3 A's that are an impedement to a functional marriage.

I wish for my husband and I not to divorce but be able to build a new marriage based on equality, love, kindness, compassion, and goodness. I ask God to touch Loren and bless us both with love, healing and change.  I see people in their 80's still in love and holding hands and I cry for my loss and the losses of my children.  I don't want anyone else, I just want my family back and a devotion to work on our problems, genuinely this time.
