Hi, Raven - I couldn't get in either no matter what I tried.

I even started to get a little paranoid since I've been in a few times with no problem.

So glad you posted - now I don't feel like such a dummy! :)

With how you are feeling right now I can understand why the message board is not your #1 choice; the chat room has been your source of comfort. Although, I admit it’s so good to hear from you –And that you did reach out

I would say what you are feeling is part of recovery

Just my guess with this (?) - ‘The Three A’s’ come to mind here ~

Raven was on a new computer and her windows was stopping the active X download, in turn it wouldn't allow java to install . So a suggestion go to dowload Java and go to the manual download off line. That is how Raven was able to access it. If you are still having trouble pm me on the board and I will see what i can come up with.

I had the same problem a week or so ago, for a few days. The chat screen would say, when I COULD get in, that my security system was blocking me from chat. I tried to change that, but to no avail. I finally asked a computer person at a local shop, and they said to uninstall my security program and install another, which was free. I did that and now it works great. Plus, I'm still protected from hackers, viruses, etc., for free!!

Hang in there, and ask someone who really knows about computers, if you just can't get in. LOL, when I went to the computer store and was asking the guy, he looked at me and said, "you don't know anything about computers, do you?" Duh, lolol. I must have had THAT look!

thanks for replying to my post.

i have had my computer for about a year. it is my first computer and my first year of computer experience.

but,

i don't seem to have learned much.

i am out here in alone in the country and except for what the guy showed me when he set it up........,

I KNOW NOTHING !

i went into java free and did download it. my computer told me download was successful, but , i can't find it.

i am laughing as i type this because it sounds so silly to me.

if you can find a way to help me, it will be a Miracle in Progress.

Please send me a private message on the board and give me your name and phone number and the best time to call you. I have unlimited long distance calling and i am sure i can help you with this problem. To send me that message just click on my name over my plam tree and it will say send private message, but you have to be signed in.
