Good morning! This time last year I did a post called "Blame it on Karilynn". Well I have decided that this is going to be an annual event. This may sound silly, but hang in there with me.
Here's the deal: Everything that goes wrong, today and today only, you get to: BLAME IT ON KARILYNN! Yep, you heard it right. You get to blame it on me!
Dishwasher blow up? Blame it on me. A being nasty? Blame it on me! Cat bring home a critter? Blame it on me. Feeling lousy? Blame it on me! Burn dinner? Blame it on me. In-laws driving you crazy? Blame it on me? Lousy weather? Blame it on me! Teenager driving you nuts? You can blame it on me! (But when it comes to teenagers, I have no control! ) Forgot to take out the trash? I won't do it for you, but you can blame it on me. Plants die? I probably did have something to do with that! I can kill a silk flower! Bad day at work? My fault today and today only.
The point is: You get to dump your problems, lousy feelings, and all the other stuff for one day and one day only. It doesn't mean that you get to runaway from your problems. It means I'm giving you a break. So when you get up tomorrow morning, you're ready to face your "challenges" (I don't like the word problems) head on. Life is too short to always be miserable. Like Christy said, you get to start the day all over again.
So bring it on family. I can take it! I have very strong shoulders. And you know what? Tomorrow I get to dump it all too! Some how, some way, the always manages to come out. So enjoy your day. Have fun! Remember when you start getting that feeling, you can say " that Karilynn, it's all your fault!" Then move on from it. Smile family, nothing is your fault today, it's mine! How many of you are going to do this?

Here's this year's blame.. Perfect timing my friend.
Last night I was staining stairs until 1:30 a.m. I went to bed about 2:00, after clean-up and was out like a light. My son stayed all night at a friends house. I'm thinking ahhhhhh, I can sleep in. Son forgot to shut off his auto-alarm and it went off at 6:00 a.m.!!!! Even worse, it's downstairs. The stain on the stairs said to let dry for 5-8 hours. Soooo....I had to go out on the deck, down the stairs, in to the basement , through the laundry room, down the hall and in to his room. I get to the alarm clock...NO Glasses!! The print is tiny and I can't see a word. I was pushing and sliding a multitude of buttons.... I can't shut it off. All the while there is an incessent beep, beep, beep, beep. Solution: Jerk the plug out of the socket..lol I go back in to the house the same way I got out (running around outside in my jammies). By this time the dog is up, he wants out. The cat is meowing, meowing and wants food. I gave up any thought of going back to bed and start the coffee. So, THANKS TO THAT DARN KARILYNN today will be particularly challenging as I again have much to do on little sleep.
But, the sun is shining and it's going to be a beautiful day

((((Kari)))) Thanks! I needed that! Today, hub and I have plans to paint the kitchen, walls and ceiling. Guess I need to get Christy to help! LOL Looks like she's up to her neck in redecorating!
Hope hub and I don't kill each other today! I just can't wait until I do something "wrong" and I can say "It's all Karilynn's fault!!" He already thinks I'm a little looney since Al-Anon has invaded my brain!
((((Kari))))) I think you gave me insurance for a great day. You know how it is, if you have insurance, you generally don't even have to use it, but if you DON"T have insurance, something bad is gonna happen!
Hubby and I worked around the house almost all day together, and I didn't get blamed for anything! Nada! I even dropped a plate that goes with our dinner dishes and shattered it. He didn't even start in telling me how I need to keep the counter uncluttered, how I should be more careful, etc.
I didn't get to blame you for anything! LOL!

The kitchen didn't get completely painted, but hub and I aren't fussing at each other, so that made my day special! There's always tomorrow to finish up the work.
I'll take Becky's "blame karilynn" and double dip. So I stained my stairs with this really light color in hopes it would match my floor. When I put the polyurethane on them they looked PINK!!! I only poly'd one step, luckily. I put stripper on all the stairs and scraped off all the gunk then sanded them again for the millionth time. Dangit karilynn!! Get it right would ya??

I waited all day to blame you for something! It looked like it might rain, and I was sure you wouldnt let it! But it did! I was sure you would sabotage the cowboys so they would find a way to loose the game against the redskins but they won! .......didnt burn dinner..rats.....didnt break or loose anything! In fact I had a wonderful damn day!!!!!
So all I can say is leave it to you! Karilynn!!! to offer up a day like this when I don't need it!!!!!!!

Darlin friend, I can't blame it on you...lol..... you are such a wonderful lady....however, maybe the next time I am having a lousy day I can laugh and think this is Kari's fault....lol.....
Well I have only just read your post it is now 11.20pm on Monday night where I am. You are just going to have to extend again. How can I possibly miss out on this annual event that I enjoyed so much last year. (()) Luv Leo xx
