a poem by mac

Fallen

In the morning springtime air,

A gentle breeze is blowing where

Winter winds had rushed around the trees,

And spun some to the ground.

In the forest, autumn leaves,

Fallen from the vibrant trees,

With broken limbs that found no sun,

Released from high, to earth become.

On their forest beds they lay,

Fallen limbs and leaves decay,

Yet high above laugh leaves of spring

And from new branches, young birds sing.

As silent raindrops kiss the pond,

Each circle perfect glides along,

Invisible in the graying dusk,

A fallen acorn cracks its husk.

My dear friend,

This time of year is especially vibrant with the changing of the seasons. Seeing the wind whirling in the trees, wanting myself to be one of those sweet leaves dancing effortlessly on the wind. You capture your spirit so well and then you so kindly share it with the rest of us. Thank you soooo much. So much more I could say in reply but my heart resonated so quickly with the wind.

I just took a deep breath and cold smell the smells of fall, and the crisp air was on my cheeks.

Thank you,

((((((((((((Mac))))))))))))),

Fall is my favorite time of year.  That is now my favorite fall poem.  The leaves haven't quite started changing yet, but I can't wait.  Time to break out the pumpkins (I do believe in the Great Pumpkin! ), the sweaters, the football games (Go Eagles! Go USC!), big pots of soups , and flannel sheets!   Pipers Kitty can't wait for the leaves to fall so she can chase them, or for the squirrels to come back so she can try and catch them.  Hubby is ready to go hunting for the first time in 3 years, and apple picking.  Ahhhhhh.... bring in on!  God in all of his glorious best.  Then comes the winter and another fabulous season. Love it!

Love and blessings to you all!  Happy fall!

Live strong,

Karilynn & Pipers Kitty
