information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
They say that living in a dysfunctional family changes who you are. I believe that being a member of the Al-anon family can also change who you are.
Although I am feeling pretty good right now - as may be reflected in my previous post - I know that this too shall pass (Darn it! I used to think that slogan only applied to the negative stuff). But I’m grateful for the relief from the storm since last month was one of the toughest ones I’ve had in years.
I am still in a “place” that I don’t want to be, but I have decided that I am tired of fighting my HP for my will to be done. I have also decided to trust that my HP has the power and ability to change my circumstances, or take me out of them if that is His will.
So, just for today, and hopefully tomorrow, I have surrendered.
I put Let Go and Let God on a Tshirt and then underneath it I added
Keep on faking it till you make it.
I can talk a good game but darn it's hard to play it sometimes. I know I would and still do say I have turned my A over to my hp but doggone it I have to keep doing it every day.
