Hello, Thank you for your warm welcome. I really needed that. Im looking forward to hearing from you and chating with you. Im so anxious to get started with the steps and traditions. I have been to several local meetings. Im a cocktail waitress and I have such anxiety speaking in public. I know this sounds stange but very true. I have learned so much in the face to face meetings that I have applyed some of the tools in my own life situations. I just havnt shared in my group. I wish I had the courage to. I know Alanon works because it is working in my life. I wish I could move forward faster. The casino industy is a fun enviroment to work in, but the attitude is terrable in this environment. The enviroment represents addiction of all kinds, such as drugs. alcohol, gambling, and stange happenings. Im a sober person and drug free. Therefore it has affected my attitude and my life for the worse. Obnoctious behavior is the norm and I dont like that. I could go on and on about the different bad behavior cues that I have observed in this environment. Anyway thank you all. Rhonda
Hiya Rhonda, Please don't feel any pressure to share at your meetings. For right now just soak it in. When you feel comfortable sharing then do so. It certainly isn't expected of you by any means. Fortunately, Alanon is a "at your own pace" program. The only obligation is to yourself.

It was nice to meet you. It took me a while to share at my first meeting. The first time it was here, safely behind the keyboard. I was worried that I was going to sound silly. But then again, I am silly. You'll know when you're ready, because it will just happen. Give it time. So for now, enjoy listening. You'll never know when you'll have a moment.
