Change is inevitable

Greetings alanon family~My newly recovering spouse is now dealing with a progressive lung disorder.  Like we don't have enough to cope with!  This was unexpected news and I'm at least used to coping with the uncontrollable events of my future.  My A is not used to having our circumstances unpredictable.  This is a very difficult and unfortunate situation.  I often think I married my father.  He did not take care of himself at all health wise, and when he was just getting his act together, bam, he died from a heart attack.  I never know what is around the corner, but certainly this program helps me weather the storms.

(((Lyne))) Turn it over to god and take it one day at a time. A newly sober person can be hard enough to be with sometimes. A health problem on top of this is a lot. Your husband is very lucky you are there for him. Be good to yourself while you are helping him. I hope you are asking yourself what you need during this difficult time. Even something small for yourself keeps the focus on taking care of you. Prayers for good health.
