I too just deleted the email, I can see where some may have been upset by the email, but as I often reminded myself, everyone makes mistakes.

In my experience, I find those who are devoted to recovery, own their mistake, and apologize for it . . .

this has been done, so I say, John & Rose, relax, allow yourself to be human, and take steps to try to avoid this mistake again.

One Day At a Time,

Love in Recovery,

Rita

Please don't attack me in response to this post.  I was upset by receiving the chain email from what I thought was a trusted source interested in my recovery and progress.  It was more of a let down, and something of a feeling of betrayal.  However, my only thought was to ask the sender not to include me in that type of mail.  I did not respond to it, angrily or otherwise.  I deleted it.  I do feel that attacking someone over it, as Rose apparently was, is a but of overreaction, and I'm sorry that this happened to you Rose.  I do appreciate the apology, and understand that this is not something that's going to continue.  In the spirit of "take what you like and leave the rest,"  I'm hoping on continuing to find the help and encouragement I need here.

Atera,

I would hope that no one would be "attacked" on this site, I would hope that we could have the "loving interchange between members"  so that if any of us makes a mistake, it would be pointed out with love and healthy compassion.

We are here to get healthy, help others get healthy & recover from the effects of alcoholism and addiction.

I am fairly new to this site, but have almost 3 years in the Al-Anon program, I enjoy reading the post, but am not able to access the chat rooms.  This is a great site & I pray it continues to be such a healthy place to read & learn about recovery.

Thanks so much for letting me share,

Rita
