This reading reminds us to not only face our shortcomings, but to see our good qualities as well. They are reality just as much as the faults. We should appreciate our constructive qualities to help us accept ourself as a friend, and to eliminate the roadblocks to serenity. THE REMINDER says that it would be self-deceptive to discount what is good in us as well as to justify what is not. We can use the good to overcome the faults. THE QUOTE says in part, that if we learn to fully understand ourselves we will not have time to criticize the drinker.

Oh boy, this reminds me of my former self--I was unable to see anything positive in me and so that just left me in a very negative and less than frame of mind, for years. My sponsor taught me to see my good qualities while encouraging me to use the program to change the faults. What a valuable lesson this has been. I have learned to love and take care of me, while letting go of trying to change my A. So very grateful....
This truly speaks to me and a fabulous reminder to dive deeper into the bits when a negative cloud sets in rather than cave to the "little human" inside me that stokes more negativity.
I am so grateful for the program and how it supports my continued growth and serenity.
