Lyne, because if you noticed we lost our MIP designation header on the main page and

we are not sure who is paying the bills anymore.

TT, thank you for that info, but I noticed that he hasn't been on MIP since March of 2022 and I thought

he was taking charge of the Chatroom. When I clicked on the Board topic for donations, there seemed to

be some confusion as to who and how to do it. When I message IAH about this subject it seemed that

my concern was not unfounded. Just want us to realize that we may not find this site available in the

future and would like us to have a place to meet if that happens. If I were to set up a FB page that

we can at least meet to mull over other options at least we will not lose touch. If you all do not feel

that a Plan B is necessary then I will drop the subject.

It would appear that JamesCT is "Webhelper" and has been, if no one donates, paying for

the website and accompanying domain fees, as well as maintaining this and all forums connected to MIP.

What is everyone's thoughts and feelings about establishing and maintaining a contact listing of the membership

if this site disappears?

In the mean time I will make contact with Webhelper.

I also don't want a FB alanon, but what info is needed for a contact list? We could consider a group alanon email list and continue as we do on MIP. Folks could share and others respond. I sure would like some piece of this to continue. I start each day with MIP>

Webhelper is not responding and Iamhere does not know who or how this site
is being administered. That is why I thought we should discuss how we would
plan to proceed if one day we come here and MIP is not available anymore.

Thanks so much for looking into this Deb, for even thinking of it...much appreciated!

Times change, as does tech, and this site takes a lot of work, time and money. It is a bit disconcerting to realize that it's a bit of a ghost site at this point.

With those in charge of tech and finance arrangements not responding, the demise seems a matter only of time.

Just in case, thank you to all MIP'ers, Lyne, TT, Mary, and Skorpi, this was a blessing for me and many, Alanon will continue on and I am grateful to have been a part of it.

I would recommend sending each other private messages going forward, this open forum is being monitored by banned individuals.

Also, I sent a PM to about 20+ active members suggesting a free site that a private group could be set up.

I will not set it up but if anyone would like to take a shot at it, it seems pretty simple and they would be the admins.

The material presented here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method to exchange information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal level.
