Determination: Bet you thought it was a virtue!

From the ODAT for today (May 11):

"What is the greatest hindrance to my achieving serenity? DETERMINATION..."

I've got to LET GO of things, and place them in the hands of my HP. I'm actually getting glimpses of the resulting serenity; yesterday afternoon, as I told my sister, I got this sudden feeling of "whatever!" As I realize, now--I was letting go of outcomes, trusting that it will all work itself out.

Yay!

yes, I have been having feelings like that at times too. "Whatever", "It is what it is" and what shall be...shall be"

I do think these are signs of letting go of outcomes.

I was really surprised when I read about determination being the greatest hindrance to serenity. I always heard, “If at first you don’t succeed try, try again.” Of course I took that too far and would not quit trying. I remember when I first started hearing about surrendering, acceptance and letting go - They were foreign ideas to me but sounded good. Thanks for sharing.
