Todays reading talks about the many aspects of life that define how we see or envision what the second step talks about . our "sanity."

Learning to see the humor in our daily lives is being able to not "dwell" or "let go" of those negatives that in essence can "control" life.

This author suggests that we "take the time to play, laugh and enjoy ourselves" thus giving our HP "some room to take care of the rest."

Reminder:  "A good chuckle or an engrossing activity can lift my spirits and cleanse my mind."  "I will refresh myself by adding some

lightness to this day."

Quote:  "Now I look for humor in every situation, and my Higher Power is a laughing God who reminds me not to take myself too seriously."  ~ As We Understand

There is no doubt that when I apply this suggestion to my everyday life that I do feel lighter and more optimistic.  Especially when the verbal

chaos starts and I am able to listen and understand without feeling indignant.  Letting go and prioritizing my feeling leaves me the room to

experience what ever humor I can because I am not spending so much time feeling hurt!

Do you experience that same thing I have when you can "let go" and see the humor in the midst of difficult issues?

Thanks Debbie for your service and ESH. When I look back upon my adult life I can see I couldn't see humor, I could not laugh at myself, I rarely felt happy, and much of life was just surviving in a deficient emotional state. Over time I did make strides, but not like the progress I've made since recovery began. I love to laugh now. Yesterday while walking my dog she tried to chase a leaf blowing by--it was so funny to watch I laughed out loud, all by myself. It's such a blessing to have humor, see gratitude, and feel attracted to the positive in life instead of the negative. Grateful member.

It can be hard to find humor living with an A.  Thankfully, I have wonderful friends who I see often and have many good laughs. I need to work on finding humor in my own home, however.  A great reminder.thank you for your service!

Great page DM, great reminder, thanks all for ESH.

By my nature, I look for and create humorous contributions in most of my interchanges. I must admit, however, that I don't always go in with the same positive expectation and spirit when dealing with a qualifier. Something for me to watch out for
