11/8/22 C2C – What is the Why for the What

This page suggests: Perform a good deed for others without being discovered. Benefits:

* Encourages good deeds without expectation and possible control

* Everyone benefits from pure giving

* It is the basis of spiritual well-being

Reminder: By putting unconditional love into action and give freely, I always get more than I give.

"I was created in love. For that reason nothing can express my beauty nor liberate me except love alone." - Mechtild of Magdeburg
---------------------
3 pages ago, Nov 5 in C2C makes some really good points on this great topic of motive and intent behind our actions. Same words or action, different intent: can mean much different outcomes and feelings for all involved.

Asking myself about my true motives is always a good Step 1 check...grateful for the reminders

Thank you Paul for your service and today's very timely reminder to do a good deed today!

Quite a contentious day today here due to election day, doing a good deed would be very

appropriate!! Grateful member as well!

Thanks Paul for your service and above ESH. Once in a while I do something nice for someone and don't tell I did it. I find myself giggling about it--it's my own little secret! I guess it's fun, like a sneak attack but in a positive way. This program has so many wonderful suggestions for living a good life.

RE:

Thank you Paul for your service. I like your link to examining motives... When it pertains to family/friends /coworkers, I struggle at times with not telling someone about my good deed claiming I just want to share the recipient's reaction. Yeah, sure. It's often my attempt to change people's perception of me . I do better with strangers-letting someone go ahead of me in line, returning a lost item or giving money to the homeless. Thank you Debbie-hope you have a positive voting experience and Lyne, your thoughts on a positive sneak attack gave me a giggle.
