to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
In today's reading, the author reflects on their levels of responsibility. They share that they are actually not responsible for the workings of the entire universe.
The author was transferred to a different city by their employer. They had a week to find a place for their family to live in this new city. After three days of searching with no results, the author realized that they needed an Al-Anon meeting. The author realized that it was up to them to do the footwork and put in the effort, but that it was up to their Higher Power whether and when they found the perfect place to live. On the last day of their search, the author did find a perfect home for their family. Worry and struggling didn't help the situation, but doing their part and trusting their HP did!
Today's Reminder: What I can't do, my Higher Power can. When I let go and let God, I'm free to take risks and to make mistakes. I know that I am powerless over many things. Today I can take comfort in knowing that I don't have the power to ruin God's plans.

Like the author, I can find myself worrying, fretting about the timelines, trying to cram things in to get to a magical place of okness. I've found that no matter how hard I try to keep things in order and keep caught up with things, there isn't enough time. Something I'm working on is defining what a successful day would look like for me, and allowing myself to rest once I've accomplished the things that would make it a successful day.

I have learned. in Al-Anon, that when times are the hardest the most amazing
things happen when I least expect it. Granted, there are solutions to issues
that are not perfect, but those tough times do work out in the end, I have
learned to always have faith that HP knows what is best.
