Today's c2c talks about realising that sometimes "problems" can turn out to be blessings in disguise and it cites the example of being so exhausted from lack of sleep due to worry that the writer was unable to act against her own best interests.

This is certainly an interesting take on stress-related insomnia!

I know that at the end of my time with my ex-A I was having daily panic attacks, heart palpitations and sleep was a distant memory; I was functioning on 1-2 hours at most and seeing the impact the stress was having on my health really cemented my resolve to remove myself from that situation so in a different way,  it was a blessing of sorts I guess. I doubt I'd be alive if I'd stayed.  I'm not sure I'd like to have stress that severe as a lesson ever again though!

When has a negative experience turned out to have positive consequences for you?

Thanks YKM for your service and all above ESH. Although an exact example does not come immediately to mind, I do know that when I can pause, think, and pray before reacting, I'm better off all around. And that is especially true if something negative is going on. I know if I can wait to respond, I am making a better choice for my behavior. This program has many blessings, and it continues to teach me how to be a better person.
