not sure what to think

as you saw in my prior post , charges were dropped when my A son went to court this morning. I prayed for my HP to accept His will for the outcome of this hearing.

now, certain people at work are saying things like "that is not a good outcome for him, he is learning nothing from this experience". I sort of feel that way a little too but I want to have faith in HP that there is another plan for him. Maybe the outcome today was what HP wanted for me...not my son. Maybe he did not want to teach my son a lesson through all this but wanted me to have some peace today.

Please give me some "ESH" if you can because I am feeling a little bummed out.

I often have people evaluate the right or wrong of what happens in my life.  The reality is, his HP is working some plan in his life.  All we can really do is hope it works well for them.

Your HP has led you here and allowed you the courage to post your concearns.

My HP has encouraged a need in me to say, we will all be ok if we take care of ourselves.  And you could be right about your HP knowing you didn't need that strain right now.  That's a wonderful way to think of it.

Take care of you, and know we are here for you!

Good morning ((((Gailey)))))

Well you have had a rollercoaster ride this morning!

Boy, it sure is hard to figure out HP's plan. And then we have to factor in that human freewill part of the darn equation. Are the charges being dropped HP's will or human will on the part of the legal system?

My HP, whom I choose to call God, allows me to go through these places in my life. I like to think it is so I can grow. Grow closer to Him. You know I heard someone talking the other day about God's grace and God's mercy. Well, I thought they were the same thing....but he explained it this way. God's grace is when he gives us something we don't deserve. Mercy is when we dont get something we do deserve.

Maybe your son is being shown mercy as a message from his HP. Now whether or not he hears this message at this time, who knows! Perhaps HP is laying more ground work here for a bigger plan. A plan wherein if not now, then someday, your son will see that he has a problem and where he needs to turn for help. Perhaps he will look back in a different way at how people showed him mercy and come to appreciate it, instead of seeing this chance as a victory over anybody. He will see it as what it could very well be. A chance to start over again in a new direction with humble gratitude for the mercy shown him.

For you, I think you are doing great. Keep turning him over and keep working on you.

Yours in recovery,
David

I remember someone said once "If you want to know what the will of God is, just wait and see what happens." It's not really your job to figure out the meaning of what happens, it's just your job to live as well as you can, by all measures. Make sure you experess your love and respect for others and yourself in your actions, one minute at a time, and God's will will take care of the rest.
