The reading for Monday 12/13, describes riding a bicycle as helping one feel alive and in balance. The ride on a bike can bring vitality into each day, the same way applying live and let live can. The author tries to embrace whatever life brings, sorrow and joy. If you live your own life to the fullest, it is easier to let others live theirs.
Reminder: I want the very best for those I love. I am growing to appreciate the joy of fully participating in life. And I choose to allow others to enjoy this sometimes difficult but rewarding blessing of learning from all of their experiences. Today I will live and let live.

I have come to practice and respect this slogan, to try and live my best life and be my best self, and let others do the same without my interference. I must be honest though, and admit that my A does not learn from all the experiences that are chosen. I cope better now with choices I dont agree with, and I no longer try to force my will upon my A or anyone. That took a number of years to accomplish, but Im much better at minding my own business. Since all my efforts to enforce rules and make demands did nothing positive at all, I try to practice live and let live throughout each week.
Great page, great reminder, thanks for your service and shares above...
Before Alanon, I did not see this as an option, felt it was a weak approach to living...not a coincidence that I felt a lot of agitation when dealing with others, particularly the drinker in my life.
Sometimes I marvel at how long I lived without this awareness, or the amount of time it takes me to make progress, and how quickly I may give some of it back when I don't keep my program focus. Improvement is seldom a linear development, remembering this helps when I want others to change at the pace I determine...judge not lest I be judged, keep the focus on me...Live and Let Live
Grateful for the reminders
