Today's reading describes recovery as a triangle with higher power at the top and the Alanon program, tools and life at the other areas of the triangle. The reading goes on to say, "As long as I keep everything in that order, with my higher power as my sole focus, everything in my life works serenely, even joyfully. ...God provides strength, wisdom and guidance which flows down to me through the Alanon program.
The reading reminds the us that keeping higher power our primary focus, we receive what's necessary to maintain a good and balanced life and attend to our needs. It suggests principles above personalities when considering family, friends and hobbies and practicing "First Things First."
We are reminded that when we put any person, place or thing at the top of our recovery triangle in place of our higher power; our life becomes unmanageable. The reading then tells us in taking such action we can become "starved in other areas of our life."
This reading is a great reminder that a power greater than myself is guiding my life and to keep this as my primary focus and follow my hp's will for me. When I keep that focus, I feel my life is in trusted hands. I rid myself of emotional clutter and am more apt to stay physically, emotionally and spiritually balanced. Events of the week have affirmed that my faith an trust in a power greater than myself is more important than ever. I'm grateful for the program and for the opportunity to move from obsession with the life of another to a a life of service to my higher power.
My thoughts and prayers go out to my family, neighbors, friends and all on this day of remembrance. I believe that what I focus on the longest, becomes the strongest. I choose a loving higher power and hope. I hope everyone has a good Saturday. TT

Thank you TT for your service and share. I like that triangle imagery and will do my best to keep it in mind. Sometimes I get bogged down with health and other issues, but its important to keep my priorities straight. HP, program, and important relationships, including the one with myself, all need attention. Thank you for this great reminder.
