yesterday, my long awaited new windows for the front side of the house arrived and they did a lovely job. The workmen were very courteous and professional and they tidied up after themselves they even vacuumed my rooms on the inside where they put the windows. I was absolutely tickled to death and then I noticed--I dont have any screens
well the workmen had already left so I called the office and the owner who is a friend of mine and an alAnon like me told me that yeah she noticed when the windows came in they had messed up the screens and so therefore they got sent back but they didnt want to hold up my installation so they thought OK will go ahead and put the screens aside and get the windows on and then next week theyll pop my screens on and I dont even have to be home they can do it from the outside
at first, my first reaction was a bit of disappointment because I wanted to open up my new windows in the early morning and at night when its cooler and smell the fresh air blowing in by a fan. But with the mosquitoes so bad now Ive got to wait till next week
well instead of getting all bent out of shape or oh poor me I cannot use my windows I just told the owner that she made a good call--get the windows in, get the job done so I can get my rebate from the city, we can do the screens next week, no worries and really how important is it?
How important was the little glitch about the screens? The old Rosie wouldve been miffed because the job was incomplete but the new Rosie just looked at those beautiful windows and took pictures of them for my friends and gave gratitude that my wood was healthy in the window frames, no termites, no bad wood, I was a very grateful little camper and as far as the screens having to wait till next week?
Really how important is it? And I can tell you right now that it is not that big of a deal and I am so happy that the job went so well and I am sitting here waiting for the inspection team from the city to come And approve of my job so I can get the paperwork into the city for my rebate. So the screens being late was not a big important deal at all

Wow mamalioness. You're a breath of fresh air. Funny, today I was irritated because my hubby spilled sauce all over the tablecloth. As I was about to admonish him ..something tied my tongue and I muttered "it's not that important". Once upon a time, this would have evolved into a long lecture about his general messiness (making him feel small). Why spoil a good meal over a little laundry?....Your share emphasizes how I can miss out on joy by focusing on minor stuff... Thank you.
Hope you enjoy your new windows.
Nice Rose. I envy your windows. Here, we have to wait forever to get things like windows and glass on a boat. I put my hand through a window today and need the window replaced. It might not happen for another five days! Tyfs.
Well heck! I was going to take a step back from the board because of all the drama and chaos and I get these beautiful responses to my slogan for today so I guess every maybe twice a week or something I can throw up a slogan and help us stay focused on what we should And that is good old basic recovery and caring and sharing for and with one another
Peace and love to everybody and have a very safe and serene weekend
