  aww ...I don't say this out loud at all- but i say it to myself often.

At the same time- As I wake up there is always a song on my heart- music is healing.

But what I say to myself is this:- "If i dropped tomorrow I will die happy."

After tests last week it does look like I may have 15 or 20 years. smile ...

There was on other at our F2F last night. 20 mins sharing each. 19 to the dozen.

In this neck of the woods members sometimes sit alone- for weeks on end, and this is a bonus! aww

I have company going to the assembly tomorrow- plus a dog, which my truck doesn't mind.

Went to our RSA meeting yesterday. Good male company- with some gals too. Tom aged 101, is our last veteran from WW 2.

He had contact with an old comrade- and came long to tell us. He was singing in the choir with us 2 years ago.

We have grandkids sleeping over this weekend. I will be away all day Saturday. My Alanon family was given priority.

My own needs come first, so long as family does come a close second.

I have a remote microphone and speaker from our ANZAC day service. Now in my custody.

Our chaplain, age 93 refused to use it at the service. Her voice is trained to carry well.

Last weekend three grandkids used it here- for a garage band. The great grandkids of three veterans.

Today we have a school parade. The 2IC of our RSA knows my family circumstances. He told me to wear my father's medals.

I had just been wearing my grandfather's military cross. We do need to reach the young. Each succeeding generation will

carry medals on their chest.

The service of those who died, especially needs to be remembered, and so on down.

I bring my Alanon skills and experience into a different organisation. There are a lot more boundaries here.

Bu inside of these is warmth and friendship- very rewarding... awwawwawwawwaww...

 Moving with the times... I went to AA Open meetings in NYC, Florida and San Francisco. The first two were for drinkers only.

The SF one was anything but alcohol addicts.

Alanon must reflect changes, without losing it's core identity. I am much of a traditionalist- seeing our higher power at work throughout. But at the same time we must adapt, or die.

A new daily reader may come out next year. It includes items for LBGT people. I am 100% all for this- but i ask- why make a big deal about it? This is not an issue in our local group- as an issue, if you know what I mean. But I can sponsor at group level. And I formed a close bond- without the usual boundary issues. And this is rewarding, and an opportunity for both. smile ...

An opportunity for Alanon- one member at a time... biggrin ...

David, it certainly sounds like, with family, community and Al-Anon you have a very full life. {{SMILE}}

It is good to have days where there is much to plan for!!
