Moving with the times... I went to AA Open meetings in NYC, Florida and San Francisco. The first two were for drinkers only.
The SF one was anything but alcohol addicts.
Alanon must reflect changes, without losing it's core identity. I am much of a traditionalist- seeing our higher power at work throughout. But at the same time we must adapt, or die.
A new daily reader may come out next year. It includes items for LBGT people. I am 100% all for this- but i ask- why make a big deal about it? This is not an issue in our local group- as an issue, if you know what I mean. But I can sponsor at group level. And I formed a close bond- without the usual boundary issues. And this is rewarding, and an opportunity for both. ...
