Tidbits of wisdom, Tuesday

Keep your sobriety first to make it last.

Having the world's best idea will do you no good unless you act on it. People who want
milk shouldn't sit on a stool in the middle of a field in hopes that a cow will back up to
them.
--Curtis Grant

When you make a mistake, make amends immediately. It's easier to eat crow while
it's still warm.

Without God's inner source of enlightenment and refreshment, I would soon stagnate
and feel despair.

@@@@@@ I noticed when I start doing this, it is something an issue that I am not excepting in myself. Time to do step number 10

@@@@@@Oh yeah. My conscience will not let me rest until I own what I did and take responsibility and make amends to the one that I harmed. And I am grateful that my higher power does that because that means I am on the good side of the universe

Hi everybody! I thought you guys would enjoy these tidbits of wisdom that I like to share

Back is getting better, I am back at the swimming pool but I still cant swim over hand so I do the breaststroke and then I do my running in the water and all my exercises from the neck down, just have to be creative with it but my trainer was there today and she said that the rhomboid muscle could take up to two months to heal since I kept aggravating it and she said when you feel discomfort and pain, back off and let it rest and thats what Im doing

My alcoholic brother has been calling me and it has been wonderful talking with him. Hes familiar with the program so we get back into the old step for issues about our past and he gives me his take and I give him my take and I really learned a lot from him. Hes just a joy to talk with and it breaks my heart that hes an alcoholic but I have come to acceptance and I dont say a word about his drinking but I can tell on our third day of chatting on the phone that he was drinking and so I just told him to go fix a couple of pork chops and get his dinner cause it was getting late. and so he did but it was so much fun talking with him, reminiscing about our dating each others friends and all the fun we used to have together and how many times I saved him from our other brother that I swear wanted to kill those poor kid and he said the same thing he said I am alive because of you. You saved my life and I did not disagree which I really think, hes deceased now, but I think he just hated my a brother for some reason he was jealous of him and I dont know how many times I would pull him off Of him and maul him a little bit to teach him do not hurt my little brother. And brother dearest remembered all of that. He may come out this summer and visit with his friend who is sober and I told him that there would be boundaries about drinking and he said OK and he said that his friend would make sure the boundaries were observed because hes not a drinker I mean he may have one beer before dinner but thats about it so Im Gladies hanging out with sober people

I hope everybody has a very happy and healthy and safe new year and my prayer is that we all have a better year 2021. Been on unemployment for so long, I paid a lot of income tax and of course my business is going to have a terrible loss, trying to find clients trying to rebuild, Ive got all my expenses in order and yeah I should get most of the money I paid to the IRS back

So everybody, be safe and happy and have a great new year and I hope you enjoyed my little tidbits. I am on the microphone, I saw my trainer today and I told her not only am I doing her stuff but I added stuff for those rhomboid muscle and neck issues that I know there is slight arthritic activity, so hydration and stretching is real important to keep it mobile I do not have pain so if there is arthritis it is very mild. And I can control it with good diet etc. but I told her what I was doing with my physical therapy and she was very impressed with my discipline and dedication to aligning my spine and keeping my muscles up and all of that. Because I do enjoy my sports and I want to stay active and athletic and I cant. This rhomboid muscle I really strained it badly and she said it could take up to two months for it to completely heal and for me to be patient with it and when I am stretching and exercising it to just back off when it starts to feel pain and discomfort which is exactly what I am doing

So anyway, that is the report on me I hope this microphone did not mess up my dictation but I am not using the keyboard much because it does aggravate the muscle typing. So please bear with me talking on the microphone but I wanted to stop by and say hello to everybody sending love light and peace to all of you

Good morning Rose!
Glad to hear that you are not only continuing to heal, but that you are be careful with what you do.

I loved the 'tidbits.' Especially this one:
