I will continue my journey w my mom as she is laid to rest. It will be difficult but I have God have onmy side & holding my hand. My alanon sisters will be there in the front row w me as well as my mom's lovely daughters. My two beautiful sisters. Pray for me that all goes well. Love all of you the same way as you love me.
My hope for you is that you feel her presence at the funeral. Know that she will be there - in the hearts of all who loved her!
Wishing you peace.

Kathleen I have abided with the passing of time and family in the passing of time for a long while. Doing this and listening to the elder relatives and friends about their powerlessness during it all helped to prepare me for the experience myself. Loosing close family and holding on to the presence of HP has worked well for this program member. We have lost close friends in the past weeks or two and including myself have watch the elders participate in the passing ourselves. What has supported me for a long while is the slogan "One day at a time" which reflects on courage and gratitude, patience and acceptance. "Acceptance is the solution to all of my problems" is a strong AA slogan which I carry daily. Thanks for your peace and serenity. ((((hugs))))
