The Kentucky Derby is scheduled for September 5th...the first Saturday in May is now the first Saturday in September! The second leg of the Triple Crown -- the Preakness has not been rescheduled yet! And...neither has the last leg...The Belmont Stakes...so as of right now, nobody knows what and when the Triple Crown is. Rumor is and it loos like the Preakness will be run BEFORE the Kentucky Derby this year. Will there be spectators? A lot of unknowns right now.

I like it, Rosie.
Made me laugh.

Here's a Scottish Sportscaster, commenting on his Labs.  There are more of him and them on YouTube.

You are very welcome Rosie. The Breeders Cup this year is at Keeneland on Friday, November 6, and Saturday, November 7. As of right now, it has not been moved/postponed...not yet. My knee-jerk reaction would be that Breeders Cup (the entity) would opt to keep the date -- and race without fans, or limited fans -- before they move the date. In addition to dates, conflicts, etc. -- another X factor is going to be the distance. The Belmont Stakes is a mile a half and the Breeders Cup Classic is a mile and a quarter. I think the owners of the top three year old colts (if there are any good enough) may be in a position to have to pick one or the other.

I'm glad some of you had a good chuckle. but make no mistake,

my heart bleeds for the folks like our Iamhere and who has BOTH parents in sick bay and God knows who ELSE is fighting this virus directly ....prayers going out to you, IAH.....

ANd as to the vid?? I have a way of coping with disaster with humour....its like my way of easing the tough times ,

and Bo, thanks again for update on BC...my favorite race really....i don't know ANY good enough colts/fillies that can carry the heavy load that will be this year end and lets not forget the arc de'Triomph thats in Oct........Holy Moly!!! I don't even know who Baffert has or my other awesome trainer Aiden O'Brien has that can carry that kind of load so races will be missed...the flatters will stay on the turf, no messing about on other surfaces..the dirt runners will stay where they can do their best........and they are only 3 years old, yea, at that time, pushing 4, but their bones don't really fuse till they are pushing 5.......Thanks so much for your news

(((((Temple))))))) how are ya girlfriend??? glad you liked the funny....I laughed till I cried, but then right after, said prayers for those impacted by it

TT, YES to progress and finding a laugh and a grateful in tough times......((((((((TT))))))) Hope your HP is kissing your prayers.....

Baffert has the top 3 years olds in the country right now! He had two undefeated colts -- in two divisions of the Arkansas Derby last week...and they both won easy!!! He has two more colts, in addition to those first two, and they both have Derby points, and are on the new, ad hoc, make it up as you go along Derby trail.

As you know, the European racing front is very, very different than North America. Night and day. Campaigning a horse or horses for the Triple Crown, obviously 3 year olds, couldn't be more different than campaigning a horse or horses, older horses, on the TURF, for the Breeders Cup. While I don't follow European racing for the most part, I do follow specific horses, training methods, the stakes season, etc.

Being 6 months away from the Breeders Cup, Aidan O'Brien is already on his way so to speak. They campaign horses season to season, drax an X on the calendar and work backwards, and he knows how to target a race, get a horse to peak, the right way, at the right time, on that race day. He knows how to build, move forward, and so on. He knows it all, LOL...he's a master at his craft, without question.
