Happy Easter

Happy Easter to all those who celebrate this day and to those that don't, Happy Sunday. I'm usually at work, but as fate would have it, I'll be available to cook the turkey. I'm only cooking for 2 today because the powers that be have asked us not to have large family gatherings this year and if I've learned anything from this it's to go along with the group conscience, whether that group is my Al-anon group, my place of employment, or my family. So, we will express our gratitude with each other for each other and we will be thinking of you.

Happy Easter and Sunday Wolfie and all. Woke up before daylight, lit a candle and came here. Sitting alone near a window, I heard a lone bird singing a monotonous tune in the darkness. Then with dawn, it began to chirp and sing as if bursting with joy. Now it's flown and not a sound or soul in the streets but I know I'm not alone. Thanks hp. It'll continue to be a quiet day for us but as you rightly mentioned, it's a time to follow the group conscience. I'll be getting creative with what food we have left but I'm pretty good at that from back in the days when I lived with someone active and was just making ends meet. We're discussing get more food delivered soon rather than going in the crowded stores. We'll do a little comparison shopping online but ultimately the store with tp wins. We'll check on everybody to wish them well today. We both lost very close family members at this time so it's typically a time spent remembering them for each of us. Of all things, we are getting snow today. Unusual weather. As I post this it's begun to snow. Crazy weather for crazy times. Speaking of crazy times, I think I'll limit myself to coming here only today. Reading news every day isn't adding much to my feelings of isolation. Movies, games, phone calls, daily readings, prayers are all better options. I'm grateful for my health and life today and that those I know and those I love are presently well and safe. My prayers are far reaching but I'm not a religious person so I'm not sure how much they're doing. Maybe if you add your prayers too. Then we'd have this big ball of prayer that would be bigger than that ugly spiked orb I keep seeing online that represents the virus. Our combined prayers could act as a wrecking ball against the virus, whack and shatter it and disintegrate it. Hey, a girl can dream. Stay well and safe. (((hugs))) TT

Happy Easter, Passover, and just plain Sunday to all. I cant say I feel happy about anything today, but I am grateful for health and food. I kind of feel for the masses of people who are suffering. Its just my nature, and what brought me to a career in the field of mental health for 36 years.

My daily prayers include asking God to suck up this virus and deliver it to a place millions of light years away, where it cant hurt anyone. I know once years ago, people around the world prayed at the same time. I wish we could do something like that. I believe that positivity and good will can fight the negative energies. I wish peace and health to all, Lyne

This is family...real family. I love the love talk and that's why I keep coming back.  It is a bright clear morning here and I was looking for the birds with having to accept the wonderfully loud and melodic critter from yesterday.  That one was a conductor and I will not forget it for long.  Birds are spiritual ancestors for me...I am blessed with them.

It's quiet and cool I feel my HP in it all and while I have given up my Christian faith practice I feel still the spirit of practice from those who remain in that and other faiths with their own HPs.  If they are all sane and sober it's working and I will continue to work my program also.

Mahalo Nui to all in MIP who have brought a resurrected spirit into my life.  I LOVE YOU ALL.

Be quiet.  Listen.  Practice.  Pass it on to others.

(((((Hugs))))) aww biggrin wink smile

Happy Sunday, Easter, Pass-Over and all that are celebrated. I've got dinner in progress, also just for 2 here - 2 plates to go for single program friends and 1 plate to go for my youngest son.

I have a special place in my room where I can hear the birds talk to me early in the day. It's priceless and reminds me of all that I have, none of which material. I'm grateful and feel blessed in spite of what may/may not be going on around me.

We will eat in a bit, I've got an afternoon nap planned and then we'll eat again! I have yet to master cooking for 2 people so we'll possibly be doing some left-overs for the week - thank goodness we're both OK with that.

May your worry be small, your dreams and serenity be large and the day be glorious as defined by you! (((Hugs))), love and light to all.

Bernie thank you for your well wishes for a happy Easter. Roommate and I had a roast chicken and sweet potatoes and garlic toast. I did the cooking and she did the cleaning up afterwards. It was a good dinner and I ate like a pig LOL. Good to see you on board

I saw my neighbors keeping it small as well. But it made me happy to see that none of them were alone in that they had either a spouse or a parent or someone to share with
