Checking in

The province we live in has declared a state of emergency. We have been directed not to gather in groups larger than 5. It's interesting, and as one member put it to me, in reference to groups not being allowed to hold meetings,  "disappointing but necessary". Nancy and I are still alive, no symptoms yet. Hope you are all safe and well as the circumstances permit you to be.

Meetings have been canceled for over a week here where I live...as a result of a decision made by the Archdiocese, which closed all of the churches.

The great news...is many of the local meetings have gone to zoom meetings. Now people from here are inviting their friends from all over North America and the meetings are wonderful!!!

All the best. Stay safe!

In NZ we have been given a stage 4 response; and overall we are at stage 2. People are reluctant to close schools- because there is no home supervision with parents working. Sometime non-essential work will be stopped. Spent time with daughters, and wife's sister yesterday. Can see an end to the crisis in 2, 3, or 4 months. A really good time to keep in touch.

In my state, all schools were closed almost 2 weeks ago for the balance of the school year. Our leaders have encouraged social distancing for that long + a bit. Starting on Tuesday, we will be under a stay home order. It goes for one month. As of today, we do still have meetings happening - most I know are opting out. We also are using Zoom to hold meetings.

We are safe also. I am really grateful that we are retired, the kids are grown and I don't have to be a 'home school teacher'....I have no doubt I'd loose my mind! I hope everyone stays distant, stays safe and continues recovery in any way they can...

Experiencing the same austere lock-down here as part of a state of emergency. It's felt stressful as I'm considered higher risk... fortunately, my community is being supportive during this crisis. I live alone and am doing my best to reach out and not isolate. Wishing everyone to stay safe and healthy.
