The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
The C2C Reading for 1- 28 speaks to our motives for attending alanon meetings. The reading suggests that many arrive looking for a " quick fix 'only to find a healrhy way of living, true friends and a supportive. spirituAl network so that is why we keep coming back.
Thank you Betty for your service, the daily and your ESH. I went to meetings in the beginning because that's the only place I felt safe and quasi sane. I continue to go today because I love to learn and grow and meetings are a grand place for that. I have acquired some great friends in recovery and beyond, as my picker works much better today.
I still feel a sense of calm each time I walk into a meeting room, even if it's a different one than usual. Love that about recovery! Hope you had a great day - mine was busy, busy, busy but good! (((Hugs)))

Thanks Hotrod, great page and IAH for your ESH, agree. I did not anticipate my long relationship with AlAnon upon arriving, but my first meeting was the beginning of an incredibly rewarding journey that has developed, one day at a time, into a spiritual recovery. So glad I kept coming back and have the peace it continues to guide me to

Thanks Betty, for your service, and IAm and Enigmatic for your shares... I wasn'tkthere for a quick fix. I was hungry for the company of people with a history, and who were looking for answers... my life began to change from day one. ...
