Yesterday was very action-packed! I am only going to say all of this to put it in print! I had the most craziest day yesterday! First I went to a big box store twice in 2 different cities. But to step back, I was in the first store in line behind my husband. There was an I-phone right on the end of the line sitting there. Well...I got the opportunity to give it to the checker. First good deed. OK so I don't know if the person got their phone back but nevertheless, I felt good about doing it. 2nd good deed happened after the event! I guess you could say I was in a hurry because I broke a key to the bathroom door. It would not fit & I know that it really didn't work. Anyway, not too far away was the other box store, where I took care of business. Lo & behold there was a cosmetic bag near the toilet paper dispenser. I got up & took it to the customer service center. Another good deed. God must've been up to something.
So, the story goes, I couldn't get the key out of my mind all the way home. Because I was obviously in a hurry, I never got to make any kind of amends or anything. Well...since the opportunity arose, I had some cash that I felt I needed to send to the store. The store was a dollar store. Anyhow, today I sealed an envelope w/ a note in it anonymously. It is in the mail. I hope I did the right thing. If it hadn't been for those events or experiences, my day would not have happened obviously as I had planned it. Sometimes I wonder how timing fits into all of this. I call it a God-wink. That means God is up to something as far as I am concerned.
By the way, I checked the bag & there was money in it. I figured that was a definite reason to give it to customer service.
After all this, I feel like my day was complete & after that I was able to go home with some sense of purpose.
So, I pat myself on the back. I am a vessel for good things. Thanks to the al anon program I can see how important it is to be honest & do the right thing.
Thanks for sharing, good deeds always make me smile!
