miracles everywhere!

Don't leave before the miracle. I found mine after over 33 years & 2 husbands. I am so grateful that God gave me all the close relationships I had w/ men. Some will leave a lasting memory. Some will just leave! I am so excited about my future. So many love & have loved me in the past. Today is just another day full of blessings!

Thank you my MIP family for being a part of my journey. I don't get to go to F2F meetings because I basically live on an island--figuratively. I cannot drive at all. No license by choice. There are no Al anon meetings here in my small town. So, we had to close the ones that we had due to lack of interest or whatever. We had two & one time but we gave up on them after 15 years of one & approximately 15 years of the other one. I guess those of them that don't attend are not serious or afraid to go. I am grateful that 33 years ago, I attended my first meeting & God has blessed me ever since. I just didn't take the time to stop & look. I was so busy into myself that I couldn't see my blessings. My friend has dementia. I found out today. She is such a blessing to me. We are definitely kindred spirits because she was married to an alcoholic for a long time.

Anyway, I am soooooooooooo grateful! I hope you all find your miracle.

...well, yes, Kathleen... and why not?

I don't think we have to justify being here- as members of this group. I believe that this group is as good as any I have bin too... anywhere in the world.

I have been attending AA meetings lately. The only 12 step groups in this hick town are AA and NA... ...but as good a start, as any... biggrin ...

It is a Saturday morning here. Pretty chilly outside.... We don't have vacations here- just 'holidays'... and I am going on one in just over two weeks... to a lovely tropical island. A dream holiday.

We have grand-daughter having a sleepover here tonight. One of the rewards of change. I can imagine the person I might have been waking up inside of a cardboard carton somewhere- truly!

So I share this miracle progress with you and anyone else who is willing...

...thanks for your share! smile ...

Loving share Kathleen - miracles are everywhere! I love how you describe realizing that and seeing that - recovery does work when we work it!

My F2F meeting is a gift in itself, but I feel lucky to have found this board. I'm sure there are others, and they may be supportive and helpful, but MIP definitely offers me so much. I understand that if I am open to my miracles, I will see them, and I do. Hugs, Lyne
