Update(life goes on...)

Real quick: I feel better! My ah can't really see progress. Talk about no support at times. Ha asked me why I have been crying? And it is a sign of instability. He thinks I am unhappy. Truth is I am recovery is slow. I am not crying as much. I am not what he thinks. He is living in the past. I have support. Life will go on one day at a time. I have to let go & let God.

Gr8 share, K.

Oh yes... I was watching the news- about the anniversary of the D-Day landings is France last night. An old veteran was being asked about the day. He remembered his fallen comrades, and his eyes welled up with tears. "Sorry, sorry..." he said as if the world would feel embarrassed.

I would prefer a world where people thought it okay to weep openly... though mostly in private- and with family and friends.

In my world 'a break down', or a blimmin good cry, was seen as a weakness- that needed attention- and even treatment.

I find tears very healing- and they have enabled me to move on. smile

Kathleen - good to see you and good to hear you're in a better place! I also find crying a comforting, healing part of my journey! I was raised with all boys so by default, learned it was shameful to show emotion. Recovery gives us a different way to view emotions, responses, healing and dealing - you got this!!

My ah is being more sensitive. I am getting help. Lots of friends to text & talk to. I am blessed! I am back in the groove. I was wondering if anyone who is reading C2C lately if you noticed how the steps are in order?
