C2C Reading 6-4

The C2C reading for today 6-4 speaks about the Second Step.  it [points out that in this step we are asked to open our minds  to the possibility of change and obtaining help .  The reading suggests that we do not actually have to believe that there is as source of help that is available to us in the form of of a HP but if  we can keep an open mind on the subject  this action provides a glimmer of hope that will see us   though

It suggest that looking beyond the visible  to the unseen is a great tool to embrace

Thank you Betty for your service. One thing that seemed to happen when I allowed my mind to be open, was that help came in unexpected ways!

Thanks Betty for your service. The help I expected from alanon, how to change my A, I didnt get. But many , many positive changes keep happening, that I never expected at all. Step 2 says it all in being willing to try. What a concept! Lyne

Happy Tuesday MIP! Thank you Betty for your service and the daily. Thank you to all who posted ESH and shares. I struggled for a bit with Step 2 simply because I did not want to admit I was insane or part of the insanity. It had been much easier to keep throwing shade and blame on the disease and others. I felt willing to try recovery in Al-Anon, but complete willingness to be open to changing me came slowly.

It was easy to see the insanity all around me - much more difficult to see the insanity within me. With a patient sponsor and working the steps, things became more clear to me on how I contributed/caused some of the chaos/insanity and began to make small changes in how I viewed the insanity and my 'reactions' to it. Using the pause and praying for willingness gave me much more insight into considering a response instead of a reaction - all of which got and continues to improve with practice!

I am grateful for the program, the steps and all the tools we have access to for growing and changing ourselves. Even me, one who had a ton of denial about my insanity, was able to change slowly with willingness! There really is hope and help in recovery!!

smile Betty... oh boy! it has been a journey... a travail...... but exciting, at times, with periods of deep doubt.

Last time I looked I made other group members my 'higher power'. Not sure where I am sitting now... but I do know I have moved forward.

I look around myself- and see what sort of company I am keeping [a good guide... ???] . right here, right now; being in the present... is a great way

of encountering our higher power... ...yes... aww ...
