Good Morning MIP Family I got triggered by HP to bring this story to the board because it fits so well within the dialogue HP has with me. You will find the story in the January 2017 "The FORUM" on page 3. The FORUM is our monthly magazine and a real winner for me.
I came across this offering by Buddy H., of No. Carolina and had to acknowledge the very many ways my Higher Power uses to reach and lead me in recovery very often using it's wisdom and creativity to get the task of making me aware done.
He speaks about a dirty windshield in his car and how it is hard to see thru when the sun hitting it creates a haze across it. I thought about this as it also happens to our vehicle in Hilo and how often I have thought about cleaning the haze away. Buddy didn't clean away the haze and I won't either except for 3 letters which reveal the name "GOD" when he turns, without any thought into the light. He understand it as a subliminal message that God is there even if Buddy H of North Carolina does not see God.
I am a very metaphoric listener. I listen thru mental pictures and dreams and have told my wife I will not now clean the inside of our windshield right before the drivers vison.
Buddy's ending statement about seeing God most clearly against a back-drop of dirt is made or was made especially for me. Keep coming back (((((Hugs)))))
Brother.....we've had so much weather here that both the inside and outside of my car could hold a novel or two! I am a visual learner, so I hear more from the written word than spoken word. I love your share and the message/reminder that we are never alone even if it seems like it.
I needed this reminder as real life around here has gotten a bit complicated. I am so grateful to have a program and a higher power to lean towards - makes all the difference...(((Hugs)))

This is a great share Jerry. I talk to God daily and often get answers and suggestions from Him in my head. My little dog was very ill and I asked God for help. The help has come. I think no matter how HP makes Himself known to us, for me it is always a comfort and a blessing, Lyne
Thank you for sharing your interpretation of this reading from The Forum, Jerry!

Mahalo for the responses thru your ESHs as after I came to believe my whole experiences with a power greater than myself changed. Being born and raise within a major world religion and educated over and over in it and taught to serve in it and then being employed in NASA (science power) and more and then arriving at the doors of Al-Anon and AA recovery I had so much confusing and oppositional thinking about what was Higher Power stuff. Truthfully for a long time it stopped and then didn't work for me and I came to believe with the ESH of the program and the tiny step work (my own experience building) and then over time I started to have experiences actually defined as miracles by others and according to definitions I came by. I am still an ego centric male...a doubter of sorts and rarely now so convinced that I am the solution to all questions and doubts. I like and need the dirty windshield metaphor and events just to keep me in balance. God as I understand God works with and in me from all directions and now a dirty windshield. Thanks for letting me share. ((((Hugs))))
Like this story Jerry--thanks for the share. Also love and always need reminders of how it is the God of our understanding (or sometimes as we don't understand HP too).
