it's been awhile(short)

It has been awhile & I don't have much time to write. One thing is for certain my mom is where she needs to be & is very happy where she is. I think for the first time in a long time I am happy for her. Our relationship has been very volatile.

Me, I am well. Been thinking about getting on here for awhile. I hope this is short enough that maybe someone will get something out of this. I just had a very healthy Thanksgiving in more ways than one. I am grateful for sobriety & health for both me & my AH. He is doing better in some ways than he has ever been even in his early sobriety. I am grateful for time we can share w each other sometimes doing nothing but being together. Sometimes he talks a lot especially in the car on the way home but generally I realize that I would miss his talking greatly if he wasn't around. Actually I have been away from him several times but he always returns. That is definitely a good thing. I think God winks a lot when things happen. I know that he listens & gives us everything we need. At least that is true for us.

I will continue enjoying the rest of the season. It really has made me smile.

Kathleen - thanks for stopping by and so good to hear that you are content. Great news about your mom being in a place that is working - you and she have been on my mind! Keep on keeping on - ODAT - yes -- a sober home sure is way better than the alternative! (((Hugs)))
