Emotional Balance_12 steps & 12 traditions, p. 83

EMOTIONAL BALANCE
Made direct amends to such people wherever possible,. . . . .
TWELVE STEPS AND TWELVE TRADITIONS , p. 83

This appears to have come for an AA reading of the steps and Traditions where the drinker has harmed folks with his/her sarcasm and nastiness, wrong doing: and they NOW cannot find or get with some of the people they did wrong....

These people are untraceable, and direct amends to them
are not possible. The only amends I can make to those untraceable
individuals, the only "changes for the better" I can offer, are
indirect amends made to other people, whose paths briefly cross
mine. Courtesy and kindness, regularly practiced, help me to live
in emotional balance, at peace with myself.

*****************************

I see this as a reading for EVERY 12 stepper...Have you ever messed up someone, harmed them and NOW you can't find them?? Or they are deceased??? OR just too toxic to approach and to try would be like WW3????  yep...I have those folks whom I did wrong and I just CANT approach due to reasons stated above....so what do I do??? how do I make it right??? Clean My side of the street????   I've had this dilemma and what I do is I  #1..Own/take responsibility that I DID it...#2  TELL someone and my HP about it  #3, vow to learn from the wrong doing, not to repeat it and to  "sow good seed" from here forward....Being Kind is a good start...
