One day at a time...

Hi y'all... kia ora... smile ...

Saturday morning- unsettled spring winds on the way... change.

I used to be locked up in the past- strung out between the what-ifs and the if-only's. A tough place to be. No sense of self.

I wore away at the rock here- by going to meetings... I actually love going to meetings.

We had daughter and family over for tea last night. It worked out well. It was nice. Encouraging.

For so long I came into sharing with issues. It is okay to do this. This is what our meetings are for. I expect to tell- when people are getting better- through my own experience... learning to live in the present moment. My higher power is most powerful at this time. A great place to be. And I can tell because people start to express gratitude. Like me, with little voices at first- but once started- a deeper serenity will always follow- just as night follows day and day follows night.

I always believed we needed to say it how it was- no matter how bad things seemed, at the time. Still do.

For me it was the way through... I have bin there. biggrin ...

Well I agree to, David. When I am in the present, I cannot be fearful of the future or angry about the past. And I also noticed that my higher power within which basically is the precepts of the program and peace and love and right action, works only in the present. So if I want to connect with my inner higher power, I have to be in the present, in my body, quiet, and open and willing and honest. Thank you for the share in this reminder.

Great share David and great topic. I too had to embrace and accept the 'muck' of life to find myself in the present. I have no doubt that HP works with me for me and that all is OK and will be so. It's so nice to let go of the past and to have tools to use when fear arrives knocking at my door.

Have a lovely day/night!

Thank you for the ESH David. I don't know if hindsite is a good place to be but as I look back over the last couple of visits with family............they are very different than they were before. Relaxed, enjoyable and for that.....I am so very grateful!

Hugs!

What good read for me. Great way to start my day. I work hard at keeping it in the day. It is real difficult. I build my day around meetings lately and that is where I need to be right now.
