HP and I on the hunt.

This text emoticon is/was real for me yesterday as We went on the hunt for my youngest son's elderly, deaf, lame pet Beagle named "Poke".  My son asked if I could care for her while he and my daughter in law and granddaughters were in Guatemala doing mission work for/with their church.

Poke is a jungle dog not a city dog so you can see and understand what she went thru as she left my kennel and ventured away from the house.  I was distracted with my stuff and then....she's gone.  Panic...she is not a city dog!!

My HP understood what I would find necessary to do; driving around the area and asking another guy if he had seen Poke while releasing the panic and sadness that kept coming and going.  Poor baby.  I didn't find her and so I resorted to signs on telephone poles close to home and going on about my needs.  While driving home from Office Max my phone rang and I fumbled for it and answered the call (I'm hearing disabled until HP decides I am not).  A sweet female voice was speaking and I got the words that she got from one of the signs and she got that she was just outside of where I live.   She was putting 2 and 2 and 2 together and was certain where I lived and that she would go back home to get Poke (God I am feeling so elated) and bring her home.  If it was Poke I would put my Son and family at ease and also my cringing spirit.

It was Poke and two of the most lovely human beings, husband and wife, I had ever met and hugged.  Miles (his name) had spotted the dog along the roadway trying to find a way home and stopped her and picked her up...He knew the signs, his wife read the ones I left on the telephone poles and HP knew the signs of where everything and ones were at and how to direct the movements.  I have had my HP do this so often as I pray, "Place me where you want me...tell me what to do".  The reason I am so amazed might be that at times my faith and trust get weak from lack of use and I resort to doubt and fear.  Okay this is a practice reminder.

My son came away with the same reaction.  In the end we shared hugs and kisses and mahalos and smiles (Hawaiian Culture at work) and Poke went back in the kennel.  She was beat.  She ate and went to bed and slept till 730 this morning...got up, ate and is now back down. Everyone is pleased.

I remember doing the same thing with less results going after my alcoholic addict.  I pray she is still clean and sober.  Mahalo MIP for all your ESH.   (((hugs))) wink

Hi Jerry you  tale reminded me of my loosing a cat while visiting my sister.  She escaped out the door when a repairman arrived. When he noticed that I was looking for something r-he casually mentioned that he saw a cat  run into he back yard.

Many prayers later i heard a meow coming from under a truck parked in the back. I could not see her but could certainly hear her so I bent down and saw a tail hanging form the wheel well no. Finding her was easy getting her dislodged with nails digging into the tire, under the wheel a definite challenge Thanks to HP all ended well--Thanks for reminding meaww

Gosh you nailed it David with both reminders and she keeps reminding me to be on alert so that they can continue.  She may be old and lame and deaf yet she is fast and single minded...Head for the trees which of her home are miles away.  Makes me nervous.

Hotrod I was picturing as you were describing.  I listen best with my eyes and your post made me anxious also and then David's All's well that end well makes me relax. I told HP "I prefer living in your world rather than this one".   I do I do.   ((((hugs)))) aww

(((Jerry)))

So Very Grateful "Poke" was Lead Back to your Loving Home, with a Gentle Guidance in the Right Direction from HP...

Being a Pup Mom, I Can so Relate to the Panic First, ask HP AFTER I have Exhausted myself to No End... "Because well... Character Defect #102030" Asking for Help has NEVER been my Strong Suit!

Your Program, Your Connection with your HP, Your Step Work... Has Always been One I Admire & Try to Learn from, Thank you for your Share, and Also for the Lesson in it...

Much Love My Friend

Jozie
