The other day I was taking my lunch walk around our office complex which includes a large hotel. As I was walking around the hotel, I saw a ladies dress shoe sitting on top of one of the hedges. My first thought was, "I wonder how one ladies shoe got there?" Well, the first things that came to my mind were not that it had fallen from a suitcase or fallen out of a car when the door was opened. My very first thought was that some lady had spent too much time in the bar and that her boyfriend or husband had helped her to the car and that she had lost it during her trek and did not even know it. Sounds like something that could happen with me and my AW. Isn't it terrible how this disease can occupy almost every thought in one way or another!
That is a very interesting observation Juster. I wonder what thoughts would have gone through my head if I had seen that exact same scene. I might have thought that some woman was sitting on her balcony in the hotel with her legs crossed, bobbing her foot up and down to close to the edge when the shoe just slipped off and fell to the bushes below. Or maybe some toddler thought it would be funny to toss mommy's expensive shoe over the edge.
Interesting where our minds go. Mine often wonders to chocolate & going to sleep at night.
Yes, this is an insidious, progressive family disease... the beauty of the Program (once applied) is that you will begin to see the healing, value, miracles & help of the Program everywhere!

Projecting about how/why the shoe was there is funny! It could have been a thousand different reasons, just as one picture will evoke a thousand different reponses!
